Cousin E

A few weeks ago we got a call from Aunt Carolee asking us if we could watch Cousin Eliza for a weekend. They were flying into town for a layover, but had to later fly out for a job interview  in a neighboring state. So upon the layover they left us Little E. We were thrilled to have little Eliza with us for the weekend! Kate counted down the days!

The girls did everything together! 

The played outside, chased Paisley, went on a ferris wheel, did some shopping, played a lot at Grandma's house, cracked each other up with funny faces, went to gymnastics together,

and overall, just had a lot of fun together!

They are two silly girls!

 

and even sillier together!

 It's so fun to have a cousin to play with!

We miss you already lil' E! Come visit again soon!

Big Girl Status

Our final birthday celebration took place tonight.

Lucy sung to Kate (nearly a solo....good job Luc!) and as she blew out the candles on her last cake. Next time she has a cake, she'll have FIVE candles. Gulp.

After dinner and cake, Daddy headed off to priesthood, and I took Kate on a date.

 She was so excited. She had never known of a pedicure.....

Water to put your feet in? Bubbles to tickle them? Color changing water? A cool chair to sit in? A vibrating seat? Oh the wonders!!! It was pure joy to watch her excitement

 It was so fun to take my baby on such a "big girl" activity.

 

Thanks Grandma C for watching Luc and thanks Aunt Carlynne for joining in on the fun! This may very well become a birthday tradition. 

Here's to #5 Kate......but not so fast ...3 flew by way too fast!!

The Cow

We celebrated ALL day on Wednesday, but waiting for Saturday's Party was hard.

Kate was so excited to see her friends from school and to play at "the cow"

 

First things first: Showered babies!

Carley and Emily were the first to arrive at "the cow" and Kate was so excited to see them. 

Lucy was pretty excited too, but still not up for going down the big slide.

She'd let the big girls do that.

 Later more friends arrived; Yarliz, Kailey, Aubrey & Elise

 The slide fun was put on hold for some eating, and of course a visit from the famous Cow.

Then it was time for some cake,

 And animal balloons

 Kate was happy to get a pink puppy balloon.

 The girls were thrilled by another special visitor; their pre-school  teacher Ms. Sabra!

 They finished their breakfast kid meals...

 and headed back to the slide!

All and all, it was a fun morning...

F.O.U.R

Our sweet Kate celebrated her 4th birthday.

One,Two, Three, FOUR!!!!

Wow.

It has been a blessing to have this bug in our family.

We love her and everything about her.

It humbles my heart to think of her pureness.

She loves without judging,

She shares because it makes others happy,

She prays like she's talking to her good friend,

She seeks the good and wants everyone to make "good choices"

Her smile is contagious.

Her love endless.

We learn so much from her.

The last FOUR years with her in our family have been JOYFUL.

The day consisted of presents, pampering, shopping, napping, eating and playing.

..every birthday girls' dream, right?!!

FOUR years old and her FIRST haircut!  She was excited.

She was certain it needed to be a UTAH leo and Swoop agreed!

 

After all was said and done, Kate needed one more thing to complete her day;
